Star Flyer’s Arrival
The Star Flyer ship is heading to Tahiti to prepare for its new home. The ship is scheduled to arrive in the port of Papeete, Tahiti on Saturday, December 29, 2007. Star Flyer will be met by 20 vessels ranging from fireboats to traditional outrigger canoes. A traditional gift (plaque) exchange will be held between the Captain, Star Clippers officials and Tahitian officials on the pier.

To officially welcome Star Flyer, the cruise line will host an event on board for local VIPs and media. The ship will then depart Papeete under full sail before sunset. Guests will have time to enjoy the ship, have dinner and dance in the Tropical Bar.Star Clippers will enter Tahiti’s cruise market with the Star Flyer’s inaugural cruise on December 30, 2007. The three distinct products — 7-, 10- and 11-night round-trip Papeete cruises — are packed with several overnight calls and breathtaking scenery from the lush hills to the azure sea.Star Flyer sails a seven-night, round-trip Papeete itinerary that is port intensive with almost all overnight calls. Along the way, the ship visits Huahine (overnight), Raiatea, Tahaa (overnight), Bora Bora (overnight), and Cook’s Bay and Opunohu Bay (overnight), Moorea, with an overnight in Papeete before disembarkation. The 10-night round-trip Papeete cruise takes Star Flyer to the Society and Tuamotu atolls, with special cruising within the Rangiroa Lagoon. The ship calls at Fakarava, Rangiroa (overnight with lagoon anchorage), Bora Bora (overnight), Raiatea, Tahaa (overnight), Huahine and Moorea. The 11-night voyage adds an overnight call at Huahine.

Star Clippers combines the pampered luxury of mega-yacht cruising with the exhilarating thrill of sailing aboard an authentic clipper ship. Guests rediscover what sailing was like during the glorious age of the tall ships while visiting intimate ports of call untouched by larger cruise ships.

The four- and five-masted clipper ships feature a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. Passengers dress in resort-casual attire and dine in unhurried, open seating. Whether unwinding in the bowsprit net while gazing at the sea below or climbing the mast for a panoramic view of the horizon, a unique sailing adventure awaits.

Tahiti Special

Call Ellen at 1-800-691-0243 for more information about Tahiti vacations and Tahiti honeymoons.
Free meals and free upgrade to an overwater bungalow
The journey will begin in Los Angeles with a comfortable 7½ hr flight on Air Tahiti Nui “Bound for Paradise”. Arrive in Papeete and after a short 10 minute flight you will be welcomed in the island of Moorea, where your next 5 nights will be spent at the plush Moorea Pearl Beach Resort where luxury and tradition coexist.
In Moorea, a wide, shallow lagoon surrounds the island’s vertical mountains where poetic threads of waterfalls tumble down fern-softened cliffs.

Your adventure will continue in Tikehau, a graceful oval crown of pink-sand beaches, can only be described as a picture postcard. Considered to be one of the most beautiful atolls in Polynesia, the fragrance of the air is matched only by the abundance of life in the bright-blue water.

For the inner dreamer and romantic, the Pearl Resort can arrange a special sunset cruise to relax and enjoy the breathtaking sights Tikehau has to offer.

Your vacation in Tahiti offers many activities or the opportunity to simply rest and rejuvenate the mind, body and soul during your stay in Paradise. Remember that stepping right outside your normal home environment yet in harmony with nature’s great ocean, between the sky and the sea, you soon learn how to live beyond the constraints of time.
